It's taken me quite a while to write this since our cat (Blue) passed away in September last year. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Lisa for the compassion and professionalism she showed during one of the hardest moments of our life. Our cat was at the end of his journey, and Dr. Lisa guided us through the process with such kindness, patience, and clarity. She took the time to explain every step, made sure my cat was comfortable, and created a peaceful, dignified environment for his final moments. We were never rushed, never pressured, and she treated Blue with the same tenderness you’d expect from someone who truly understands how much he meant to us. Saying goodbye is never easy, but Dr. Lisa helped make it gentle, humane, and filled with love. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone in a similar situation.Posted on Samantha StoneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. On July 22, 2025 my soul dog had to be helped across the rainbow bridge. Kaos was a service dog and more than that he was my BF, and literally my son for 16 years. I knew the day would someday come.. and just the thought of it was enough to break me. (And I’m a rational person in medical field) but for him I could barely cope with the idea. When the time came I struggled a little with the decision because I did not know he had kidney failure until right before he passed. And I was worried I wasn’t giving enough of a chance to fight. When I found Dr. Lisa she was wonderful. I called several times and asked questions, she told me to take my time making my decision, and that I would know when the time was right. She was right. Like two days later he got much worse and she came. Even when she came she assured me if I wasn’t ready she could just go which I really appreciated (that I wasn’t like pressured to continue the process just because she was there). It was just me there.. she answered all my questions, we talked about Kaos.. and I sat with him on couch. It wasn’t rushed. She talked through the whole process and it went very smoothly. (I even asked for him to get a little extra sleepy medicine and she had no problem doing that). It was a very peaceful transition for him. She kept me very informed. And got his ashes back to me like within 2 days I believe. Which was extremely comforting to have him back as soon as possible. There’s nothing else I could have asked for. If your anywhere close to this area.. you should absolutely consider using Dr.Lisa. Not only because she was so kind and able to put you at ease during this extremely stressful time.. the reason I did at home euthanasia was my little guy hated vets office and was always stressed out there. I didn’t want his last memory to be somewhere he hated. I wanted it to be where he loved and felt the safest. I called the only other place I could find in the area and there prices were crazy. If you’re going through this, I’m sorry. Thank you again, Dr. Lisa.Posted on Emily Croy BarkerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. UPDATE: When my second cat, Z., reached the end stages of her illness, I called on Dr. Lisa again. Once again, she was very kind and understanding. We had an initial phone consultation about my cat's condition and the potential timing of the procedure. Within a week, I knew that Z. had reached a point where her quality of life was declining and uncertain. I contacted Dr. Lisa and she was able to come two days later, at a time that I suggested, which gave my cat and me one last weekend together. Dr. Lisa's responsiveness helped relieve my anxiety at a terrible time. (As another example, on the same afternoon, she also handled an emergency call from another family.) During the procedure, my cat reacted a little to the first injection, obviously feeling the prick of the needle and perhaps getting woozy from the anesthetic. She fell sleep quietly within 3-4 minutes. The second shot went quickly. It was heartbreaking, but I feel so thankful that Z. could spend her last day at home, without all the the stress of a vet visit. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am very grateful that Dr. Lisa was able to come on short notice—within two days after I first contacted her. Another in-home vet had offered an appointment five days away, and I wasn't sure that my cat could make it that long without a crisis. Dr. Lisa was very compassionate and kind at a very sad time. The procedure went easily and my dear M. went to sleep peacefully.Posted on William KestingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Lisa Bongiovanni was so helpful when we had to say goodbye to our loved pet, Eve. She was able to come to our house same day, helped us be assured we were making the right decision, and treated both us and Eve with the utmost care and respect. Thank you Lisa!Posted on Jennifer SantaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Bongiovanni was amazing! She made one of the toughest moments that I had to go through much easier with her kindness and compassion. I hope I do not have to see her for my other pets anytime soon, but she will be the first one that I call if I need to! Highly recommend her services!Posted on Mis GTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lisa was so incredible during one of the most difficult times of my life, having to say goodbye to my precious 13 year old pitbull Hobo. I spoke with her a few times over the a few months when I wasn’t sure if it was the right time or not and was met with such warmth compassion and kindness; she was both informative and understanding. When the day finally did come she arrived very short notice, was punctual, and gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes. Her care, expertise and empathy are unmatched, she is beyond just a wonderful vet, she is an amazing person. I would recommend her to anyone who needs at home vet care.Posted on Jennifer VigarioTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lisa was a HUGE blessing to my family this week at the unexpected illness of our beloved cat. She came within the hour, and was as kind as she could be. The loss of a pet was awful, but after Lisa left, my husband and I were just so thankful for her willingness to come out and be with us in our hour of great need.Posted on Ishanie SanchezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
