In-Home Pet Euthanasia | Compassionate End-of-Life Care

Choosing to say goodbye to a beloved companion is one of life’s most difficult moments. Dr. Bongiovanni provides gentle, in-home pet euthanasia to ensure your pet’s final moments are spent in the comfort, safety, and privacy of their own home.

By choosing an in-home visit, you eliminate the stress of a clinical environment, allowing for a peaceful, dignified transition at a pace that feels right for your family.

The In-Home Process

Dr. Bongiovanni prioritizes the comfort of both the pet and the family. Her approach is designed to be painless, patient, and transparent.

Consultation & Support

Before the procedure begins, Dr. Bongiovanni provides a thorough consultation to address your concerns and questions. She believes in clear, compassionate communication so you feel fully supported throughout the visit.

Sedation for Absolute Comfort

To minimize anxiety, special medications are used to sedate your pet prior to the final injection. This step ensures your pet is:

  • Relaxed: Removing the “white coat” stress of medical care.
  • In a Deep Sleep: Your pet enters a peaceful, anesthetic sleep before the final goodbye is said.

A Peaceful Passing

Once your pet is adequately sedated and resting comfortably, the final injection is given. This is a concentrated sedative that results in a painless, quiet, and dignified passing.

Memorial Keepsakes

To help honor your pet’s memory, Dr. Bongiovanni recommends keepsakes by Pet Meadow:

  • Clay Paw Prints: A lasting, tactile impression of your pet’s paw.
  • Ink Prints: High-detail paw or nose prints.
  • Lock of Fur: Carefully collected and preserved for you.
  • Specialized Tributes: Information on custom urns and memorial jewelry is available.

Aftercare & Transportation

Following the appointment, Dr. Bongiovanni provides gentle transportation if you have selected cremation or aquamation services. You are never rushed; she encourages you to take as much time as you need to sit with your pet after they have passed.

Note: For the safety and dignified handling of your companion, if a pet is over a certain weight, Dr. Bongiovanni may require assistance with transportation to her vehicle.

Appointment Information

Dr. Bongiovanni manages every aspect of the service personally to ensure the highest standard of care.

  • Pre-Visit Consultation: A full phone consultation is available before arrival to alleviate concerns and discuss logistics.
  • A Gentle Pace: Once Dr. Bongiovanni arrives, she is available for any further questions. The process moves at your speed to ensure you and your pet remain at ease.
  • Privacy: You are invited to spend private time with your pet once they have passed, ensuring a meaningful final goodbye.
